The Role

The successful candidate will join an experienced trading desk to learn the market and progress to a Trader position. The role will be split between trading duties/execution and statistical data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce market analysis, keeping the desk aware of market sensitive news

Suggest trades and spreading opportunities to the desk that you notice on the screen and in the broker market

Support the Traders on your assigned desk

Accurately input trades

Pass on all information accurately from brokers

Person Specification:

1-2 years prior experience in Trading is desirable

Holds a tertiary degree in Finance, Maths, Engineering, Science, Commerce or Economics

Ability to code in Python is preferable

Excellent quantitative modelling is desirable but not essential

Excellent analytical skills

Statistically minded with effective problem solving skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Interest in trading and how the markets operate

The ability to multitask and effectively distribute attention to competing priorities

Excellent communication skills
